Global Manufacturing Africa (Pty) Ltd ("GMA") warrants its products against defects in materials and workmanship under the following terms.
1. Warranty Coverage
- 1.1 GMA warrants that the Aftrak Precision Farming Kit ("Product") is free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of delivery to the end customer.
- 1.2 This warranty applies to hardware components only. Software is provided "as-is" and subject to the applicable software licence terms.
2. What Is Covered
- 2.1 Manufacturing defects in hardware components.
- 2.2 Failure of electronic components under normal operating conditions.
- 2.3 Defects that arise from the manufacturing process and are not attributable to handling, installation, or use.
3. What Is Not Covered
- 3.1 Damage caused by: misuse, abuse, or neglect; physical impact, dropping, or submersion; use outside recommended operating conditions; unauthorised modification, repair, or disassembly.
- 3.2 Normal wear and tear, including battery degradation.
- 3.3 Damage caused by improper installation or failure to follow GMA's installation guidelines.
- 3.4 Consumable components (batteries, SIM cards, tags) unless defective at delivery.
- 3.5 Damage caused by power surges, lightning, or other external electrical events.
- 3.6 Cosmetic damage (scratches, dents) that does not affect functionality.
4. Warranty Claim Procedure
To make a warranty claim, the Customer must:
- (a) Notify GMA (or their authorised Reseller) in writing within 5 business days of discovering the defect.
- (b) Provide proof of purchase and the serial number of the affected unit.
- (c) Provide a written description of the defect and any photographs or videos.
- 4.2 GMA reserves the right to inspect the Product before approving a warranty claim.

5. Warranty Remedy
- 5.1 At GMA's sole discretion, the remedy for a valid warranty claim shall be: (a) repair of the defective component or unit, OR (b) replacement with an equivalent unit or component.
- 5.2 GMA will bear the cost of repair or replacement. Freight costs for returning the unit to GMA are the Customer's responsibility unless otherwise agreed.
- 5.3 Repaired or replaced products carry the remainder of the original warranty period.
6. Limitation of Warranty Liability
- 6.1 This warranty is the sole and exclusive remedy for product defects.
- 6.2 GMA shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from a product defect, including but not limited to loss of profit or loss of data.
- 6.3 GMA's total liability under this warranty shall not exceed the original purchase price of the defective Product.
7. Consumer Protection Act
Where the Customer qualifies as a consumer under the CPA 68 of 2008, the applicable CPA warranty provisions apply in addition to these terms.
